
The Enrichment Center serves as The Arc of Forsyth County, an affiliated chapter of The Arc. The Arc is a leading national organization that advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In tandem with The Enrichment Center’s arts-based learning and employment programs, we provide a range of advocacy support services for individuals with disabilities and their families:
- Ongoing advocacy for continued state funding support.
- Resources and information concerning living with disabilities.
- Membership in the national and state Arc organization, enabling members to stay up-to-date regarding new laws and other developments at the local, state and national levels.
- Education to legislators and local community leaders about the needs of people with IDD and the talents they share with our community.
The Enrichment Center participates in the following: IDD Advisory Committee, NCARF, Self-Advocates Conference, Wings for Autism, Winston-Salem Mayor's Council for Persons with Disabilities, Winston-Salem Transit Authority's Accessible Festival.
